1954
The Begining
In the bustling heart of Lagos, long before Nigeria’s independence, Chief Kehinde Sofola, QC, SAN, MON, CON. founded a modest law firm at 2 Tinubu Square. With values rooted in integrity, diligence, and innovation, the practice—then known as Kehinde Sofola & Co. (Ewenla Chambers)—took its first steps.
1970s
Breaking New Ground
- 1975–1977: Vice Chairman, Bank of India (Nigeria) Ltd.
- 1978: Elevated to Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), one of the highest honours in the legal profession.
- Landmark legal victories shaped Nigerian jurisprudence in wills, land rights, and corporate law.

- 1983: Chief Kehinde Sofola, SAN, CON was appointed Attorney General of the Federation & Minister of Justice.

A New Chapter
The firm evolved into Kayode Sofola & Associates (KS Legal) under Mr. Kayode Sofola, SAN. A modern continuation of its legacy was born, blending tradition with a new vision.
1995
A Legacy Continues
Mr. Kayode Sofola rose to Senior Advocate of Nigeria. His leadership extended into governance and corporate roles:
– Chairman, Tax Appeal Tribunal (Lagos Zone)
– Chairman, UBA Group (2004–2007)

Landmark
Judgment
Under Kayode Sofola’s chairmanship, Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited was ordered to pay ₦13.09 billion in education tax—a landmark in fiscal accountability.
