Yeside Asolo plays a crucial role in the Firm’s dispute resolution and corporate/commercial practice. With extensive expertise in commercial law, she adeptly advises and represents banks, financial institutions, asset management firms, corporations, and individuals in various aspects of litigation and alternative dispute resolution.

As a registered compliance officer with the Securities and Exchange Commission in Nigeria, Yeside provides strategic guidance on capital market transactions and addresses regulatory and compliance matters, as well as the negotiation of commercial agreements.

Before her tenure as a Senior Associate began in 2019, Yeside served as an Associate at Babalakin & Co Legal Practitioners, focusing on dispute resolution.

Yeside’s notable experience encompasses a range of significant transactions and cases, including:

• Advising a Nigerian mining company on the successful $20 million sale of its mining asset in Osun State to a publicly listed Canadian company.
• Providing counsel to a syndicate of local and international investors on their acquisition of an equity stake in the prominent fintech firm, Flutterwave.
• Assisting two insurance companies in navigating their recapitalization processes in compliance with industry regulations.
• Contributing to a successful defense for the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation in appeals at the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court regarding insurance claims totaling over N1 billion.
