A Senior Advocate of Nigeria and Notary Public, Kayode Sofola SAN is a renowned commercial litigator and a tax specialist with a reputation of being an adviser to advisers.

The first ever Chairman of the Lagos Zone of the Tax Appeal Tribunal (2009 to 2016), he sat as a panel member of the now defunct VAT Tribunal (Western Zone) from 2000 to 2007 and also sat in 2005 as acting Chairman of the VAT Tribunal (Eastern Zone). He is a member of, and a legal adviser to, the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria.

Kayode Sofola SAN was a member of, and legal adviser to, the Vision 20:2020 National Technical Working Group on the Judiciary and Rule of Law. He holds various company board appointments and was formerly a non-executive director (1994-2004) and Chairman (2004 – 2007) of the board of UBA Plc, and sat on the board of EMTS (Etisalat) Nigeria Limited until 2016.
